Meet Dr. Matthew Lyon

Dr. Matthew Lyon received his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and Master’s degree in Audiology at New Mexico State University. He had previously worked at El Paso Hearing Aid Center in the early 1980’s, as a hearing aid dispenser, and returned there after completing his education. He serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the corporation. Dr. Lyon is certified by both the American Board of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He is a Lifetime Member of the Texas Academy of Audiology and was elected President of the Texas Academy of Audiology in 2008. He continues to serve as a governmental liaison for the Texas Academy of Audiology. In 2000 he was appointed to the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology by Governor George W. Bush. He was re-appointed to the Board in 2002 by Governor Rick Perry. Dr. Lyon served as chairperson of the board and served as chair of various committees during his tenure. He is a native of El Paso and attended Burgess High School. He is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Yucca Council.
